Diana Mullen-Rivers, PT, DPT, MS, OCS | Email: Diana Mullen-Rivers
Diana has worked as a Physical Therapist for over 20 years, spending most of her time in the private practice setting. In July 2008, Diana partnered with Paula Mazur Trump to become co-owner of (Lepre) Paladin PT in Cranston, RI. She earned her B.S. in Physical Therapy from Boston University, and her M.S. in Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy and doctorate in Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She has also served as facilitator for online and lab-based education for the Boston University PT program.

Diana brings a background of varied experience to Paladin, ranging from outpatient orthopedic PT to hospital-based care to pediatrics. Her extensive knowledge prepares her for all kinds of situations and patient needs. She enjoys the challenge of new experiences and the healing aspect of her field.

Married for 18 years (“That should attest to my sense of commitment!” she laughs), Diana enjoys golfing and biking. She also practices yoga to give her life a sense of balance. Her experience with yoga prompts her to take a more holistic approach to her field. “I see PT as part of a whole healing experience for each of my patients. My goal is to constantly help people feel better and raise their quality of life in every way possible, through physical therapy.”

Paula Mazur Trump, PT, DPT, MS, OCS, ATC | Email: Paula Mazur Trump
Paula has worked in the Physical Therapy field for nearly two decades, having worked as clinic manager of Lepre PT of Cranston, RI, for several years before buying the clinic with partner Diana Mullen-Rivers in 2008. Paula received her B.S. in Allied Health, Physical Therapy and Sport and Leisure Studies, as well as her certification as an Athletic Trainer, at the University of Connecticut. She has earned her M.S. in Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy and later her doctorate in Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions.

Paula’s philosophy combines current technology and innovation with an attitude of compassionate listening. “I always stay up to date with my education and skills, so I can provide the best possible treatment. But I want to be known as a listener, too, so I can be sure to develop treatments that are uniquely fitted to my patients’ needs.”

With experience and education behind her, Paula is not afraid to rise to the challenge of her more difficult cases. “I’m always trying to figure out the reasons behind the problem. I want to know—why can’t this person do what they’ve been doing before? What pieces do I need to pull together so they can go back to doing it? It’s a challenge, but one I enjoy meeting on a daily basis.”

Describing herself as “married with pets,” Paula enjoys a variety of sports including volleyball, golf, tennis, and hiking. She has also served as a medical volunteer at the Ocean State Marathon.

Kelly Pickering, PTA
Kelly was educated at Becker College in Worcester, MA, and the University of Rhode Island, receiving her B. S. in Human Science and Services with a minor in Psychology. She has worked in the PT field for nearly 16 years, splitting her time between acute hospital programs and private outpatient settings. Kelly sees the privacy and comfort of outpatient PT facilities as the perfect opportunity to use her skills to help people.

As a PT assistant at Paladin for nearly 2 years, Kelly brings a fresh approach to her work. “It’s important to keep your sense of humor, and encourage patients to do the same,” she says, “I try to make it fun. PT can be extremely challenging for many patients, and for some, it’s a long journey to recovery. If I can help them have some fun along the way, supporting them as they work to meet their goals, then I’ve done my job.”

Kristen LaRoche, PT, DPT
Kristen attributes her dedication to her field to her personal experiences with the value and power of good physical therapy. A longtime athlete who’s had her own struggles with injuries, she was inspired to work in the PT field at a very young age. “I have understood the benefits and importance of physical therapy since I was in my teens,” she says, “I know that I couldn’t be as active as I am today if I hadn’t had those experiences.” She leads an active life, playing volleyball and softball and vows she’ll give any sport at least one try.

Kristen received her Athletic Training degree from Bridgewater State College in MA, and went on to earn her doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Rhode Island. She worked as a PT aide during graduate school before becoming a full-time Physical Therapist upon graduation. Her mission is to share the benefits she herself has received from physical therapy with all her patients.

“Because I’ve been through it myself, I can understand the challenges and help my patients regain their level of activity. They know I’m not just talking the talk—I’m walking the walk, every day, because of physical therapy.”

Angela Melillo, Office Manager
Angela bases her job on one important idea: “The first face you see when you walk in here should be a smiling one!” Having been with the company for several years, Angela feels that her purpose is to have a positive impact on everyone who walks through the door at Paladin PT.

“Most people are nervous when they first arrive here. It’s my job to help them feel at home, and I always try to do that with a happy, upbeat attitude.” Angela’s favorite parts of her job include working with the Paladin team, and providing friendly service to the patients who come to the facility.

Angela earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Rhode Island College. When she isn’t behind the front desk at Paladin PT, you’ll most likely find her with her dog, Alice, and her husband, Doug.

Erika Campbell
Erika brings knowledge of many different industries and fields of study to her position in the front office of Paladin PT. “My purpose is to make things easier for everyone here — patients and therapists,” she says, “if I can make the office visits as simple and efficient as possible, then they can concentrate on the therapy and recovery process.”

Erika received her Masters of Science in Project Management with a biotechnology concentration from Northeastern University; she also received a BA in English from the University of Rhode Island. Her hobbies include photography, architecture, and traveling with her husband, Mike. At home, she enjoys reading and cooking with her cat, whom she describes as “obese but still adorable.”

Lynne Iozzi
Lynne sees her mission as one of listening and learning. “I try to learn all I can about each patient that comes in, as far as their insurance goes. That way, they can focus on their recovery and know that everything else is going smoothly.”

Lynne received her Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in accounting from Rhode Island College. Today, she uses those skills at Paladin, helping to ensure that the front office runs with efficiency and accuracy. She is active in her community, serving on the local school’s PTO Executive Board and her parish committees.

At home, Lynne enjoys volunteering at her daughter’s school and and baking treats for her husband of 15 years, John.
